Made to be trained in and then worn out of the studio without changing. 180 gsm combed organic cotton — light, but not the transparent kind — with dropped armholes cut wide enough for shoulder work and a hem that stays down when the torso rolls. The flock is a matte finish rather than the velvet used on the tees: under a studio spotlight, or on camera, it holds its edge instead of flaring. Pressed at low temperature and long dwell in Paris, one at a time, because thin jersey scorches faster than anyone expects.
The story
Ding Dong created the Nuh Linga in 2006, and it is the step that taught a whole generation of dancers what a repeated shoulder can do to a riddim. It looks simple written down and it is not: the timing lives in the ribcage, not the arms. We put it on a tank because you will spend more hours drilling it than performing it.
