The graphic is placed off-centre and low, running along the ribs, which is a harder press than it sounds: the platen has to be re-dressed for each size so the seam does not sit under the heat. The result is a piece that only resolves when the body is side-on — which is exactly when this step is worth looking at. Same 180 gsm combed organic cotton as the Nuh Linga tank, same dropped armhole, cut two centimetres longer in the body.
The story
The Gully Creepa came out of the Ravers Clavers around 2008: knees bent, spine low, the body advancing as if the ceiling had dropped. Danced badly it is a crouch; danced properly it is a controlled descent that never loses the beat. Putting the design low on the garment is a reminder of where the step actually lives.
